Coming Full Circle

It's true.  Twitter is awesome and remembering simple "thanks for the RT", "enjoyed our convo" or thank-yous to the folks who "mention" your twitter handle builds loyal following.  It's attractive when you're thoughtful, engaging and having fun on line.  There's great advice out there on how to do this well like the online show GettingEngaged   with co-hosts Yukari Peerless and Russel Lolacher.

Twitter connects business and fans on-line, but even better, Twitter connects people "irl" - in real. When folks meet    face to face, that is an opportunity to  make other businesses a fan too.  Sharing   information, expertise and collaboration hearkens back to  the community building of early Canada. Have we come full circle?  Has the technology we thought would isolate us from each other, actually brought us back to our roots? Back together?

Tell me what you think?

Twice is Nice!!

There are a couple things that have come around in twos and I like to share them with you.

The first is that Couvon.com has invited us for the second time to run our  Couvon coupon  beginning the wee hour of midnight, December 10.  I was thrilled to be the FIRST company with whom Couvon launched  in Victoria.   Their design-layout team, who live and work here, were enthusiastic and imaginative in their promotion of PearlBrite Greater Victoria  and the final layout was exactly as I wanted. I have to tell you David in their marketing department 1-866-858-4944 was (and is) excellent at what he does; he and his team truly made the whole process easy.  This Canadian company has also demonstrated a balanced and fair practice in regard to their term of remittance.  I am happy to promote Couvon.com to any business in Victoria who may be considering a promotional coupon through social networking.

The second thing, of course, is our coupon.  I am delighted to offer this great deal to Victoria again; One professional  PearlBrite teeth whitening treatment for $75(incl tx).  TWICE  is NICE when you purchase two PearlBrite treatments because we guarantee at least two shades whiter in one treatment and PearlBrite is so gentle that a second treatment can easily follow the first treatment in our office (just book the time) or you can keep it for a maintenance treatment later on. You can have PearlBrite treatments  as often as three or four times a year.

In conclusion, TWICE is NICE when Couvon and PearlBrite are together...again! Here's wishing you all MANY HAPPY SMILES!

Sensitivity

Recently I was invited by my friend Darlene Lougheed of Maid in BC (778-977-1960) to a Business Referral Team Breakfast http://www.brtvictoria.ca/ on a Wednesday morning at the Best Western on Douglas across from Paul's.  The group meeting there were friendly and open.  Each person gives their version of the 'elevator speech' and business cards are passed around.  Visitors are welcomed and given a chance to pitch their business too.  I was a bit nervous, but Darlene gave such a warm introduction that I felt completely at ease and the jitters passed.  It was fun.

During my shpiel a great question came up about teeth whitening and it's safety.  I was able to tell them that the PearlBrite procedure  complies with  Health Canada regulations and is approved by the FDA as a spa procedure.  Our clients self administer the treatment under the direct supervision of our technicians and we use a patented blue light that activates the  12% Hydrogen Peroxide in 20 minutes.  It's safe, it's very effective and affordable too.

You can find way more info on our website:   http://www.pearlbrite.biz/pearlbritecanada.aspx/
but here are the basics.

WHAT MOST PEOPLE USE, EVEN WITH SENSITIVITY  (I've been treated twice)
The PearlBrite formula is 12% hydrogen peroxide with added oxygen molecules, this makes it gentle and we walk you through a thorough, but short prep so you are comfortable during the procedure.  It's important to note that we guide  you every step of the way.  Each packet is individual and used only once, so it's safe, sterile and easy. ... Takes 35 - 40 minutes.

WHITE LABEL PROCEDURE KITS
10% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IS AN EVEN GENTLER FORMULA THAT OFFERS GREAT RESULTS TO PERSONS WITH SENSITIVE TEETH AND GUMS...  We set our patented blue light just 10 minutes longer for the same great results!  WE OFFER A WHITE LABEL KIT TO CLIENTS WHO SUFFER FROM SENSITIVE GUMS AND TEETH, OR EVEN AS AN IMMEDIATE FOLLOW-UP PROCEDURE TO PUSH RESULTS FROM A BLACK LABEL KIT EVEN FURTHER!

Early Morning Hours of a Newbie

I've been involved with social networking for nearly a year now... So much has happened and I still LOVE it!  Just for fun, here is my very first blog (minus a few embarrassing spelling mistakes!)

It's dark at 7 AM and the traffic's been building outside my door.  Today is Tuesday.  Two hours ago I kissed my daughter, son'-n-law and amazing grandson good-bye as they head for the ferry returning to Vancouver after our Thanksgiving weekend spent in various combinations of family gatherings.  I've responded to some emails, twitter'd, facebook'd and finally set up this blog I've been meaning to for weeks now. I'm ready for my first cup of coffee and feeling reflective. It's so darn quiet!  None of this is new, so what is?

What is new for me is this age and all this extra time.  I'm half a century old, my kids are on their own, I have the same husband I started out with 31 years ago, I've scaled back my job (adult education support) to part time (we care for clients in our home full time) and I've started a new business - PearlBrite. So, when I say 'extra time' I mean it's been redistributed, really, to time for learning how to run a business in a completely different way.

Social-networking may just save my life.  I have an AMAZING business coach (Cris Vleck - of Strategic Insanity http://www.strategicinsanity.com/ ) who totally opened my eyes to this new world and, as it turns out, it's a perfect match. You mean I can just be myself?  That's AWESOM-ness with a bit of a twist.

It turns out I'm a Newbie at being me.
